“When the offer came along to create a guide to show people some of my favourite places in Barcelona I jumped at it. The book is a collection of the places we love, from the smallest bars to award-winning restaurants. This is a personal guide – more so than others because we put a lot of ourselves in it” Frank Camorra
In MoVida’s Guide to Barcelona, Frank Camorra, chef of the renowned Spanish restuarant MoVida, teams up with award-winning food writer, Richard Cornish, to provide this beautifully illustrated insiders guide to Barcelona – one of the most exciting travel destinations in the world today.
In this indispensible guidebook, Catalonian born Frank wanted to uncover the superb food in the cafes, bars and restaurants of Barcelona that he felt were often not as obvious to the visitor ... “With all its complexity and density, Barcelona is a city that promises so much. I wanted to help visitors go beneath the surface to explore its rich food culture and have those promises fulfilled”.
In the book, Frank and Richard share the best culinary experiences the city has to offer, from small hidden bars to the hot new award-winning restaurants and the places they love to return to. They reveal where to find the local knowledge from their favourite chefs.
Whether it’s reviewing the best value tapas or a Garibaldi cocktail, taking you on a tour of the city’s famous Boqueria market or its iconic architecture, they capture the vibrance and intensity of Barcelona.More than a guidebook, this is a personal journey into a fabulous city and its cuisine and customs – all the more so because the authors have poured so much of themselves into it, including the majority of photos being taken by Richard himself. MoVida’s Guide to Barcelona is perfect to take on holiday and will also be irresistible to anyone with a passion for food, life and travel.
