The Spanish Connection – Taste of Melbourne 2017

Taste of Melbourne 2017 – The Spanish Connection

Frank Camorra and the team are gearing up for the 10th Taste of Melbourne. “What’s a festival without paella?” asks Frank. Every day and night throughout the five day food and wine spectacular Frank and the kitchen crew will be cooking their famous MoVida Party Paella. “In Spain, when there is a fiera there is always someone cooking lamb pinchos,” he says. These skewers of juicy lamb, marinated in Moorish spices, are grilled over charcoal and are classic Andalusian street food. For something sweet try the crema Catalana – a dish of rich custard topped with crisp caramelised sugar. All this is washed down by ice cold sangria.

This year the MoVida chef’s are joined next door by La Bodega Alimentaria – a small cosy sherry bar next door where you can order an ice cold manzanilla sherry, a plate of Currasco jamon or some Cuca sardines or mussels and relax away from the crowd. come and see Frank and his team or drop by La Bodega Alimentaria for a real taste of Spain at Taste of Melbourne.
