If Albamar's wines are all about capturing the Atlantic in a glass, Alma de Mar — "soul of the sea" — is where that idea reaches its purest form. This single-vineyard Albariño comes from a tiny 0.3-hectare parcel sitting right at the water's edge of the Ría de Arousa, where 1980s-era vines dig into granitic sand and soak up the salt spray blowing straight off the ocean. It's about as close to the sea as an Albariño vineyard gets.

Xurxo Alba ferments the fruit with indigenous yeast and a slow fermentation that blocks malolactic conversion, preserving every bit of the site's natural freshness. Eight months in tank with bâtonnage (regular lees-stirring) builds real texture and depth, giving a wine that balances dense, ripe fruit against pronounced mineral vibration and marked salinity. It's a more concentrated, site-specific expression than Albamar's other bottlings — old vines, a singular plot, and unmistakable maritime character in every sip.
