Barco del Corneta Verdejo

Barco del Corneta’s top wine comes from grand old vines, some over a hundred years old, around the town of La Seca.

Whole bunch pressed, indigenous yeast fermented and aged in old neutral oak, this is the wine that prompted Robert Parker’s Spanish correspondent to name Bea as the most interesting producer in the Rueda region (despite her refusal to use the Rueda DO).

A complex blend of apple skin, fresh fennel bulb and crushed herb aromas, backed by notes of baked sourdough, this Verdejo is a clear reminder that the grape is capable of producing intense, age-worthy white that can hold its own with the best.
