Bodegas Cerrón Remordimiento Tinto

  • Producer: Bodega Cerrón

Bodegas Cerrón is a family estate rooted in the high-altitude vineyards of Fuente-Álamo in southeast Spain, where viticulture has been shaped by isolation, altitude, and time rather than trend. Working primarily with old-vine Monastrell grown on limestone-rich soils at up to 1,000 metres above sea level, the Cerrón family champions organic farming and minimal intervention to express freshness and finesse in a region more often associated with power. Their wines bridge history and modernity, drawing on generations of local knowledge while redefining Jumilla through elegance, restraint, and a clear sense of place.

Bodegas Cerrón’s Remordimiento Tinto is primarily based on old-vine Monastrell with a supporting role from Garnacha, it is vinified with careful hand harvest and spontaneous fermentation, then aged in a combination of clay amphorae and used French oak barrels, yielding a wine that is both deep and expressive. On the nose it typically shows ripe red and black fruit framed by subtle balsamic and herbal notes, while the palate offers a fresh, mineral-driven core with polished tannins and a long, persistent finish that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, game or hearty stews.

Go Wine Yourself.

Some say the future of Spanish wine lies in its past. If that’s true, Envínate’s already there — four mates making wild, beautiful wines with one foot in the old world and the other kicking down the door.
