Castro Ventosa's most refined single-site whites, El Val Godello comes from a specific plot within the village of Valtuille, framed in a Burgundian style that shows a more elegant, precise side of Godello than the winery's standard bottling. The single site is in front of Raul Perez's home, its a 100+ year old vineyard planted on fine sand.

Organically farmed and aged for twelve months in french oak barrels, and the result speaks to Bierzo's fascinating microclimate quirks — this is a region where grapes just meters apart can ripen weeks differently depending on the wind and terrain. In the glass, expect a subtle full-bodied, well-defined white with aromas of pear, peach, and delicate florals, unfolding into a creamy texture balanced by bright, fresh acidity.
