Organic Bonito del Norte

  • Producer: Cuca

Bonito del Norte are the northern hemisphere's version of the classic Australia Bonito; small members of the tuna family with distinctive stripped silver and black bodies. Their small size and short life cycle make them one of the best wild caught tuna-species in terms of sustainability and they've also become a favourite of chefs from Australia to Japan to Europe for their wonderful fatty, rich flesh that comes in at a much cheaper price point than the Bonito's more famous and physically imposing Tuna-cousins.

Cuca Bonito del Norte is line caught to minimize by catch and avoid the stress on the fish caused by netting. After cleaning the flesh is then gently steamed before being packed in the finest organic extra virgin olive oil.

Go Wine Yourself.

Some say the future of Spanish wine lies in its past. If that’s true, Envínate’s already there — four mates making wild, beautiful wines with one foot in the old world and the other kicking down the door.
