Muchada‑Léclapart Lumiere Palomino

  • Producer: Muchada‑Léclapart

Muchada‑Léclapart is an innovative, small‑production winery in the historic Marco de Jerez of Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Andalusia, born from the collaboration between Cádiz winegrower Alejandro Muchada and French biodynamic specialist David Léclapart. Their project focuses on crafting dry, unfortified white wines from the indigenous Palomino grape — traditionally associated with Sherry — using biodynamic viticulture, minimal intervention in the cellar, and a deep respect for the region’s limestone “albariza” soils and Atlantic influence. By embracing spontaneous fermentations, low sulphur usage, lees ageing and bottling without filtration, Muchada‑Léclapart produces saline, mineral‑driven wines with purity, texture and gastronomic depth that have quickly gained attention from critics and adventurous wine lovers alike.

The Muchada‑Léclapart Lumière is the estate’s flagship dry white wine, made from old‑vine Palomino Fino grown biodynamically on the prized albariza soils of the Pago Miraflores in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where the Atlantic influence and calcareous soils lend striking minerality and salinity.

Fermented and aged for around 9–10 months in used French oak barrels with spontaneous yeasts, minimal sulfur and no filtration, Lumière is renowned for its balance, purity and serene elegance — offering floral and citrus notes, subtle herbal complexity and a long, saline finish that captures both the terroir and the grape’s expressive potential.
