Peixes da Rocha is a bright and perfumed Mencia-field blend from vineyards that sit at 800m above sea level. Making them some of highest altitude in the region. They are on a bedrock of granite and quartz, within the village of Viana do Bolo. It is a field blend of Mencia, Mouraton, Grao Negro, Garnacha Tintorera, Bastardo, Godello, Palomino and Dona Blanca.
The wine is made using 100% whole bunch and cold soaked for 60 days on skins. Maturation lasts for 24 months in used oak barrels. It has a distinctive fragrant aromas, that lifts into sweet spice characters with a juicy, dark-fruit finish.
