Depaula, which is named after Juan Antonio Ponce’s daughter, is crafted from young vine Monastrell that Juan Antonio planted around the winery.
The wine shows a lighter more aromatic side of Monastrell that is completely different from the more brooding powerful examples of Jumilla in the south. Made with 100% Whole bunch fermentation as he does with all his red's. Tactile, fresh and blue fruited this is another great expression from Manchuela.
