Depaula Monastrell
- Producer: Ponce
Depaula, which is named after Juan Antonio Ponce’s daughter, is the only wine he makes from outside the Manchuela region.
Comprised of fruit from a friend’s organically farmed vineyard in neighbouring Jumilla, at over 700 metres above sea level, it’s full of fresh blueberry and crunchy blackberry flavours. Fermented and aged in older oak, Depaula shows Monastrell's it's glorious bright crunchy blue fruit and elegant aromatic side.

Some say the future of Spanish wine lies in its past. If that’s true, Envínate’s already there — four mates making wild, beautiful wines with one foot in the old world and the other kicking down the door.
