Primeiras Vinhas — "First Vineyards" — is Soalheiro's flagship Alvarinho, sourced from the original 1974 planting plus a selection of estate vines over 30 years old, all grown on the sun-soaked parcel that gave the winery its name.
This is old-vine complexity in a glass: a bright lemon-to-golden-yellow color, concentrated ripe fruit aromas layered with buttery notes and spice, and a vibrant, full-bodied palate that's tropical and firm in its youth and grows even more impressive with a little age. A touch of oak aging adds weight and richness without masking the grape's freshness, and crisp acidity keeps the whole thing balanced. Critics have taken notice too, with strong scores from Revista de Vinhos.
