Producer Cuca

Cuca is the premium brand of Conservas Selectas de Galicia, a company founded in the Rías Baixas in 1932, which specialises in the selection and canning of the finest Galician seafood.

The Rías Baixas, which abuts the northern edge of Portugal, is riven with steep river valleys and maze-like waterways where several large rivers meet the sea. Over 80% of Spain’s preserved seafood is fished in this amazingly fertile region and Cuca has been at the very top of the game since its founding.

Unlike many competitors, Cuca produce seasonally. Changes in water temperature and rainfall affect the texture and flavour of the seafood; Cuca aim to produce when the fat content or flavour of each product is at its best.
